Where the Idea Started

Every project at Lustra begins with a question. For Plissé it was this one. How can light feel soft and tactile, almost like fabric, while staying sculptural and calm.

Sketches explored waves and pleats. The goal was a quiet sense of motion held inside a still object. The idea was to make a lamp that reveals gentle gradients and soft shadows once it glows.

From Concept to Shape

The language of Plissé is simple. A cone meets a cylinder. Together they create balance and proportion. The outer shell carries pleats that catch light at different angles and give the lamp a natural rhythm.

When the lamp is off the surface looks serene. When it is on the texture softens and the effect turns into soft glow with quiet transitions.

Material Choices

Material choice shapes the way light lives inside the form. We use bio based PLA and recyclable PETG. These materials let us control wall thickness and surface rhythm with precision. Waste is kept low and quality stays high.

Assembly by Hand

Each Plissé lamp is assembled in Lausanne. The inner diffuser, the wiring, and the final alignment all ask for a careful eye. This is the moment when a printed part becomes a crafted object.

What the Lamp Represents

Plissé carries the values of Lustra. Curiosity for making. Love for form. Care in every step. It invites you to watch how light meets texture and how a simple shape can feel alive.
